About Gonadorelin (GnRH)
Gonadorelin is the synthetic form of endogenous gonadotropin-releasing hormone (GnRH), a decapeptide (sequence pyro-Glu-His-Trp-Ser-Tyr-Gly-Leu-Arg-Pro-Gly-NH2, MW ~1182 Da). The pyroglutamate at the N-terminus and the amide at the C-terminus support biological activity and provide some protection against exopeptidase degradation. It is bioidentical to the human hormone; the elucidation of GnRH structure by Andrew Schally and Roger Guillemin shared the 1977 Nobel Prize in Physiology or Medicine.
Lyophilized gonadorelin is stored at 2-8C or -20C for long-term storage and reconstituted with bacteriostatic water. Reconstituted multi-dose vials are refrigerated at 2-8C. The peptide is stable at pH 4-7 and is protected from light.
