About Tesamorelin
Tesamorelin is a synthetic analog of human growth hormone-releasing hormone (GHRH) consisting of all 44 amino acids of native GHRH with a trans-3-hexenoic acid moiety conjugated to the tyrosine residue at position 1 via a carbamate linker. This yields a molecular weight of approximately 5,136 Da. The trans-3-hexenoic acid group sterically shields the N-terminal region from dipeptidyl peptidase IV (DPP-IV) cleavage, the primary route of GHRH degradation in vivo, resulting in improved metabolic stability compared to native GHRH and sermorelin.
For reconstitution, lyophilized tesamorelin is reconstituted with sterile water diluent or bacteriostatic water. Research-grade lyophilized powder is stored at -20C for extended periods. Reconstituted solution is refrigerated at 2-8C.
